We can’t wait to see you at auditions for A Christmas Story: The Musical!
Set in 1940s Indiana, A Christmas Story: The Musical follows young Ralphie Parker as he dreams of finding the ultimate Christmas present beneath the tree: an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. There’s just one problem — every adult in his life seems convinced that he’ll shoot his eye out! As Christmas draws closer, Ralphie sets out to convince his parents that the Red Ryder BB gun is the perfect gift. Along the way, the Parker family experiences all of the unforgettable moments audiences have come to love from the classic story: schoolyard bullies, a tongue stuck to a frozen flagpole, the Old Man’s prized leg lamp, Ralphie’s elaborate daydreams, and the chaos and warmth of Christmas with the Parker family. With a lively score and a tremendous amount of heart, A Christmas Story: The Musical captures the excitement of childhood at Christmastime and the lengths one determined kid will go to make his biggest Christmas wish come true.

Monday, September 28th at 7:15pm - Callbacks and ANY late auditions accepted on this evening!

MATERIALS TO PREPARE
Those auditioning for Ralphie or Randy should prepare “Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun,” beginning at pickup to measure 58 and continuing through the end of the song.
Those auditioning for our Featured Kids Ensemble should prepare “When You’re a Wimp,” measures 41–59. Featured Kids Ensemble should also prepare the tap combination that is provided beforehand.
Adults auditioning for Miss Shields may prepare a song of their choice that reflects the character they are auditioning for. Adults auditioning for Miss Shields should also prepare the tap combination.
Kids who would simply like to be considered for the show and are unsure what to prepare are welcome to sing a song of their choice.
Adults auditioning for a specific role may prepare a song of their choice that reflects the character they are auditioning for. Adults who do not have a particular role in mind or who would simply like to be considered for the production may instead prepare a song of their choice.
We will allow video submissions for auditions for the show! However, please have all auditions sent no later than 2:00pm on Saturday, September 26th! Video submissions may be sent to Seanmb96@gmail.com
*Please note: If you are able to tap dance, are auditioning for our featured kids ensemble or Miss Shields, you should learn/prepare the provided tap combination prior to auditions. While tap is NOT a requirement to be considered, it is highly encouraged to use this opportunity to learn!*
